Exploring Our Community: Autumn Pumpkin Patches & Corn Mazes
Butterfield Acres, NW Calgary
Tickets are now available for Butterfield Acres’ annual Harvest Pumpkin Hunts. Offered over three weekends in October, the Halloween inspired event is ideal for kids eight and under. The search for the perfect pumpkin begins with a ride on the farm’s tractor-pulled hay wagon. After grabbing a pint-sized gourd, your kiddos can create their very own pumpkin-head masterpiece and visit with some farmyard friends. Tickets are just $13.99 for children and $15.49 for adults. Birthday party bookings are also available.
Kayben Farms, Okotoks
The Autumn Jubilee at Kayben Farms is held every Saturday and Sunday from September 23 through October 15th. Each weekend celebrates local agriculture and features unique family friendly events. The Jubilee kicks off with a talent show and Little Scarecrow Pageant. Learn about life on a farm, grab some lunch at JoJo’s Café, meet some barnyard friends, and play in the Sunshine Adventure Park. Tickets can be purchased online and start at just $6.50 for kids and $14 for adults.
Calgary Corn Maze and Fun Farm, Rocky View
Head to the Calgary Corn Maze and Fun Farm for its award-winning Autumn Pumpkin Festival, held every Saturday and Sunday (and Thanksgiving Monday!) in October. Your kiddos will have a ball hanging out with the animals in the petting zoo, exploring the corn maze and decorating mini pumpkins. There’s also pony rides, pumpkin picking (additional cost) and The Great Pumpkin Explosion at 1:00 pm – think giant pumpkins filled with candy. Admission is $13.96 per person, and kids under the age of three are free.
Cobb’s Adventure Park & Corn Maze, NE Calgary
Pumpkin Palooza runs from September 29th through October 23rd at Cobb’s Adventure Park and Corn Maze. You’ll find everything from a five-acre weather themed corn maze and tractor rides, to black-light mini golf and massive climbing wall at this family fun farm. There’s also bouncy castles, archery tag, photo ops with beloved characters – like Olaf and Mickey Mouse – and a wallaby petting station. General admission begins at $12.50 for kids ages four and up, and $13.50 for adults.
