Executive Assistant, Housing

Key functions and responsibilities:

  • Manage COO calendar, as well as monitor and prioritize incoming/outgoing calls and/or emails
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including itinerary planning for work trips
  • Track expenses and prepare expense reports.
  • Review team expense reports for final approval.
  • Coordinate and prepare COO for management meetings, including tracking and follow up of to do items
  • Ensure database records are updated and current.
  • Assist with conferences, workshops, events and on-site and off-site meetings including preparation of presentation materials.
  • Coordinate all details of the monthly Executive meetings and quarterly Board of Directors meetings
  • Prepare all meeting minutes and Board resolutions.
  • Maintain corporate records and corporate Minute Books.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements of the position:

  • Post-secondary education in business would be an asset

Marketing Manager - Calgary

Excel Homes is looking for an Marketing Manager to lead our busy marketing team. Working closely with the VP of Sales, Marketing and Product Development, you will be responsible for leading the creation of Excel’s corporate and community marketing strategies and the full implementation of the multi-channel programs. While expertly overseeing all aspects of your department, you’ll keep Excel’s key strategic objectives top of mind at all times, and consider yourself an ambassador of the brand. About the role:

  • Lead the development of all corporate and community marketing strategies, including managing the full implementation with a strong focus on print, social and digital channels.
  • Develop innovative strategies across marketing touch points to increase traffic, gain market share and maintain our leadership position in the industry, all the while continuously focusing on ROI and measurement techniques to enable smarter marketing decisions.
  • Lead the marketing department in its role in achieving company sales goals, reaching online and sales centre traffic targets, and other growth performance indicators. This includes effectively directing and managing Excel’s marketing team and all external resources.
  • Develop and foster strong internal and external relationships to achieve Excel’s business goals.
  • Manage the showhome merchandising program, which includes identifying the appropriate target market(s) for each community and model home, assisting with the selection of interior finishings and design themes, and coordinating with Interior Designers to complete the showhome decorating.
  • Champion the Excel brand and coach your team and external suppliers to translate our brand vision into compelling visuals, messaging and experiences to engage customers and reinforce the brand promise.
  • Oversee the development of media plans, seasonal marketing campaigns and community launch programs, as well as manage the end-to-end execution with your team.
  • Compilation of weekly performance reports for senior management.
  • Create and manage community marketing budgets, and ensure costs are in line with allocated budgets.
  • Coach and mentor your team, lead by example and help your staff grow and achieve their career aspirations.
