HR Administrator

Excel Homes is looking for a HR Administrator to join our passionate, industry leading team. If you’re looking for an innovative company that’s focused on growth and is on a mission to create an unforgettable customer experience, please read on.

The Role

Responsibilities are to support human resources processes by administering tests; scheduling appointments; conducting orientation; maintaining records and information.

The Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
  • Administer HR-related documentation, such as hire agreements
  • Ensure the HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
  • Assist in the recruitment process including resume screening phone screens and facilitating testing
  • Welcome new employees to the organization by conducting orientation.
  • Provide payroll information by collecting time and attendance records.
  • Submit employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioral)

Senior Purchasing Manager

The Role

Responsible for managing and negotiating contracts with trades and suppliers for their single family and multi-family products. This role will also involve building relationships with current and potential trades and suppliers, providing research, analytics and recommendations to the executive team, developing contracts and scopes of work and inducting new suppliers into Excel's business practices

The Responsibilities

  • Manage relations through meetings and a regular proactive feedback loop
  • Analyze and negotiate current pricing and provide comprehensive action plan
  • Develop and maintain a scorecard to report to management, for contract negotiations and as a learning and growth tool
  • Provide analysis summary with recommendations for tenders
  • Form scopes of work for key trades and suppliers
  • Ensure new trades and suppliers are properly integrated into Excel’s business practices
  • Research new materials and products for potential production use
  • Analyze changes to building codes, Built Green and standard specifications
  • Develop purchasing procedures and documentation process to formalize purchasing
