Calgary International Blues Festival, July 31-August 6

Calgary Fringe Festival, August 4-12

Discover local, national and international theatre at the Calgary Fringe Festival. Choose from 26 unique productions, performed at venues throughout the city. There’s 160 ticketed shows in total and anything goes at the fringe, so expect the unexpected and prepare to be entertained. Check-out the online guide, and buy your tickets in advance, as shows can sell out quickly.

Canmore Folk Music Festival, August 5-7

Party in the park at the Canmore Folk Music Festival. Sweeping views of the Canadian Rockies and an amazing lineup of artists awaits you at Alberta’s longest running folk fest. With four stages and a kids’ zone featuring arts and crafts, puppet shows and a climbing wall, it’s the perfect event to inspire a family getaway in the mountains. GlobalFest, August 15-26

Prepare to be mesmerized at Calgary’s spectacular fireworks competition. Held in Elliston Park, every Thursday and Saturday night over ten-days, GlobalFest is one of the city’s premier summer events. A night market with multi-cultural pavilions, dance shows and an array of ethnic cuisine complement the five choreographed firework shows and grand finale.
