Employee Spotlight: Serena Hiscock, Architectural Designer

Serena Hiscock is our Architectural Designer and is damn good at what she does! She is responsible for designing new floor plans and elevations, creating pre-planned options, and developing color palettes for exteriors. This year is a big year for Serena as 2018 marks her ten-year anniversary with Excel Homes! Serena is passionate about what she does, and it shows in her work - our floor plans are functional and thoughtfully designed, making them easy to market and sell to buyers. While there are very many rewarding aspects to any job, Serena shares that getting the chance to create spaces for families to call their own is definitely the most rewarding part of all. She adds that being able to see something that you created in your head become a reality is an amazing feeling. When she’s not busy designing new homes, Serena enjoys spending her time doing DIY projects - taking something old and giving it new life is one other favorite things to do. We’ve seen a few of her DIY projects ourselves and they are simply stunning – this girl knows what she is doing! Serena also enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Brad, as well as her family and friends. Within the next year Serena says she wants to keep doing what she is doing, but also help Excel to grow and expand within the industry, she also hopes to experience growth and expansion in her own role as well.
