Employee Spotlight: Mike Struble, Manager, Drafting

Experience & Responsibilities

Before joining Excel 15 years ago, Mike obtained his Diploma from SAIT in Architectural Technology, as well as certifications from PHBI in Residential Management and Professional Site Manager. Mike Manages a team of 7 people, managing timelines for the creation of new plans, elevations, and creating Builder information sheets and lot plan matrix’s for new communities/phases. Mike enjoys being able to help others in answering questions or helping lead them to appropriate solutions.

The Inside Scoop

Mike loves that all of his workdays always have a variety of challenges and require different levels of problem-solving. However, when asked what his favourite part of working at Excel is, Mike says that it’s the opportunities that make the company so great. “There are tons of opportunities to grow and further your career” he says. When he’s not at Excel, you’ll likely find Mike spending time with his family, including his new son, spending time at the lake, riding his motorcycle or playing a variety of sports including Hockey and curling.
