Employee Spotlight: Jason Demers, Site Superintendent

From running with the bulls to running the team building your house, JD has done it all!

We are excited to get to know Jason Demers, our site superintendent in Cochrane, a little bit better and share his answer with you.

1. How did you get into the home building industry?

I moved from commercial building to a residential building during my carpentry apprenticeship.

2. When did you start with Excel?

I started working for Excel Homes in May 2017.

3. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The best part of my job is at the end of every build, getting to see homeowners happy with what we’ve helped to create for them.

4. What do you do in your free time?

I like being outdoors; kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, ice climbing...I also enjoy travelling, wine tasting and reading!

5. What’s one fun fact about you or something that makes you unique?

I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.
