Employee Spotlight: Jasmyne de Bruin-Hunter, Sales Associate

Say hello to the delightful and talented, Jasmyne! You can find her in Chinook Gate as an integral part of our sales team, but in her free time she loves to be in the outdoors or cooking!

1. What is your official title?

Sales Associate, located in Chinook Gate, Airdrie.

2. How did you get into the home building industry?

When I was in university I needed a summer job, and there was a posting for a hostess role with Brookfield Homes on my school's job board. That was 11 years ago, and since then I have also worked with Homes by Avi, Avi Urban, Jayman, and now Excel!

3. When did you start with Excel?

6 months ago, however, it feels much longer. I quite enjoy the company!

4. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Building relationships with the homeowners is always my favourite part. They are always so excited for the build process, and recently a customer even brought us and the construction team pizza!

5. What do you do in your free time?

I like to stay active through bike rides, running, or spending time with my two dogs at an off-leash park. I also enjoy road trips and making electronic dance music!

6. What’s one fun fact about you or something that makes you unique?

I really enjoy cooking but am a terrible baker. I've embraced the fact that store-bought cookies are always better than my own!
