What is your official title?
Executive Assistant to Vice President, Ryan Erickson.
When did you start with Excel?
I started with Excel Homes in July 2024 after working with another construction company in a similar role.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that the support I provide helps Ryan focus on leading the team and driving the business forward. I enjoy taking care of the details and keeping things moving smoothly behind the scenes, which makes it easier and more efficient for him and the team. It’s fulfilling to know that the work I do plays a part in creating space for leadership to focus on the big picture and the continued growth of Excel Homes.
What do you do in your free time?
I’ve only been calling Calgary home for three years, so I’m on a mission to try every new restaurant and quirky activity the city has to offer. Honestly, with so much to do here, I’m basically a professional Calgary explorer in training! The mountains are only an hour away and as much as I like to go to the mountains, I am not a hiker! I am not outdoorsy, I am outsidie LOL!
What’s one fun fact about you or something that makes you unique?
I grew up singing in church, choir, vocal jazz, and musical theater. I had the honor of performing the Canadian and American national anthems for the Winnipeg Goldeyes—so yes, I can hit the high notes while hundreds of people watch… and nobody threw peanuts or a beer at me LOL!
