Outdoor Adventure Year-Round

In summer, head to nearby Ghost Lake for boating, fishing and camping. Or leave the car at home and walk, bike or run, along the picturesque Bow River. Enjoy a host of arts, culture and entertainment opportunities in Cochrane. Window shop along historic Main Street. Cozy up by the fire with a coffee and freshly baked treat in the Cochrane Coffee Traders’ quaint log house. Support local artists at the Artisans’ Market, held every Sunday afternoon from June through October. Meet local growers and stock your pantry with field-fresh fare at the Saturday morning summer Farmers’ Market. Whoop it up with you neighbours at the annual rodeo.

Family Fun Cochrane

From spray parks and recreation centres to community run festivals, there’s plenty of family fun on offer in Cochrane. Mitford Park is the place to be on Canada Day for the annual Summerfest celebration. Return in February for Winterfest – the coolest party in town. For year round water play, visit the Big Hill Leisure Pool. Be sure to check out the Nan Boothby Memorial Library’s ongoing family and children’s programming.
