General Labourer

The Role

The Labourer works alongside the Site Assistant and Superintendent to assist with general labour tasks including lifting, digging, and general job site clean-up.

The Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas
• Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, in various weather conditions
• Digging, lifting, and moving equipment and material as required
• Provide general clean up and ongoing maintenance of the job site
• Removing/sweeping rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• Shovel snow on job site, when needed
• General understanding of basic hand tools and the ability to use them
• Assure the general cleanliness and safety of the construction site
• Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned

Our ‘Must Haves’

• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to lift minimum 55 lb.
• Must have a valid Alberta driver’s license
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Safety first mentality
• Knowledge of a variety of tools
• Physically capable of performing construction work
